Dr. Seyedali Mirjalili

Seyedali Mirjalili is a Professor at Torrens University Center for Artificial Intelligence Research and Optimization and internationally recognized for his advances in nature-inspired Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. He is the author of more than 300 publications including five books, 250 journal articles, 20 conference papers, and 30 book chapters. With over 40,000 citations and H-index of 70, he is one of the most influential AI researchers in the world. From Google Scholar metrics, he is globally the most cited researcher in Optimization using AI techniques, which is his main area of expertise. Since 2019, he has been is in the list of 1% highly-cited researchers and named as one of the most influential researchers in the world by Web of Science. In 2021, The Australian newspaper named him as the top researcher in Australia in three fields of Artificial Intelligence, Evolutionary Computation, and Fuzzy Systems. He is a senior member of IEEE and is serving as an associate editor of leading AI journals including Neurocomputing, Applied Soft Computing, Advances in Engineering Software, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Healthcare Analytics, Applied Intelligence, and IEEE Access. 

Dr. Diego Oliva

Diego Oliva received the B.S. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from the Industrial Technical Education Center (CETI) of Guadalajara, Mexico, in 2007, the M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Sciences from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico in 2010. He obtained a Ph. D. in Informatics in 2015 from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Guadalajara in Mexico. In 2017 and 2020, he was a visiting professor at the Tomsk Polytechnic University in Russia. He has the distinction of National Researcher Rank 2 by the Mexican Council of Science and Technology. Since 2022 he has been a Senior Member of the IEEE. In 2022 he obtained the distinction of Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate (WoS). Diego Oliva is co-author of more than 100 papers in international journals and 6 books. He is part of the editorial board of IEEE Access, Plos One, Mathematical Problems in Engineering, IEEE Latin America Transactions, and Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence. His research interest includes Evolutionary and swarm algorithms, hybridization of evolutionary and swarm algorithms, and computational intelligence.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Betar

Dr. Mohammed Azmi Al-Betar has received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, 2010 from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He was hired as a postdoctoral research fellow in the same university for three years and was invited as a visiting researcher two times. He is currently the Head of Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC) and Evolutionary Computation Research Group (ECRG) at Ajman University. He is a full-time faculty member and coordinator in the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MSc-AI) program at Ajman University since 2020. Dr. Al-Betar produced more than 180 scientific publications in high-quality and well-reputed journals and conferences. Accordingly, he ranked in Stanford University study of the world's top 2\% of scientists in 2020/2021/2022. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Betar has more than 15 years of teaching experience in higher education institutions. He has taught several courses in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence fields. Before joining Ajman University, Dr. Al-Betar served as the Deputy Dean of Academic Affairs, Deputy Dean of Scientific Research for Quality Assurance and Development, and the Head of Information Technology Department at Al-Balqa Applied University, Jordan.

Dr. Frederic Stahl

Frederic Stahl is Senior Researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI GmbH). He has been working in the field of Data Mining for more than 10 years focusing on the research domain of Big Data Analytics. His particular research interests are lie in (i) developing scalable algorithms for building adaptive models for real-time streaming data; (ii) developing scalable parallel Data Mining algorithms and workflows and (iii) applications in Big Data Analytics. In previous appointments Frederic worked as Associate Professor in Data Science at the University of Reading, as a Lecturer at Bournemouth University and as Senior Research Associate at the University of Portsmouth. He obtained his PhD in 2010 from the University of Portsmouth with the title “Parallel Rule Induction” and his Engineering degree in Bioinformatics in 2006 from the University of Applied Science Weihenstephan (Germany). He has published over 60 articles in peer-reviewed conferences and journals. 

Dr. Mohamed Abd Elaziz

Mohamed Abd Elaziz received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer science from the Zagazig University, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He received Ph.D. degree in mathematics and computer science from Zagazig University, Egypt in 2014. From 2008 to 2011, he was Assistant lecturer in Department of computer science. He is associate professor at Zagazig university, Egypt. He is the author of more than 200 articles. ABD ELAZIZ is one of the 2% influential scholars, which depicts the 100,000 top-scientists in the world. His research interests include metaheuristic technique, security IoT, cloud computing machine learning, signal processing, image processing, and evolutionary algorithms.

Dr. Brij B. Gupta

Prof Brij B. Gupta received the PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India (One of the oldest technical institutes in Asia). In more than 17 years of his professional experience, he published over 500 papers in journals/conferences including 30 books and 10 Patents with over 20,000 citations. He has received numerous national and international awards including Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship (2009), Govt. of Canada, Visvesvaraya Faculty Research Fellowship Award (2017), MeitY, Govt of India, IEEE GCCE outstanding and WIE best paper awards and Best Faculty Award (2018 & 2019), NIT KKR, India respectively. Prof Gupta is also serving as Distinguished Research Scientist with LoginRadius Inc., USA which is one of leading cybersecurity companies in the world, especially in the field of customer identity and access management (CIAM). He is also selected in the 2021 and 2020 Stanford University’s ranking of the world’s top 2% scientists. He is also a visiting/adjunct professor with several universities (i.e. Temple University, Macquarie University, Yamaguchi University, University of Murcia, Deakin University, Staffordshire University, Swinburne University of Technology, etc) worldwide. He is also an IEEE Senior Member (2017) and also selected as 2021 Distinguished Lecturer in IEEE CTSoc. Dr Gupta is also serving as Member-in-Large, Board of Governors, IEEE Consumer Technology Society (2022-2024). Prof. Gupta is also leading IJSWIS, IJSSCI and IJCAC, IGI Global, as Editor-in-Chief. Moreover, he is also serving as lead-editor of Book Series with CRC, World Scientific and IET press. He also served as TPC members and organized/special session chairs in ICCE 2021, GCCE 2014-2021 and TPC Chair in 2018 INFOCOM:CCSNA Workshop, Publicity Co-chair in 2020 ICCCN, etc. Dr Gupta is also serving/served as Associate/Guest Editor of IEEE TII, IEEE TITS, IoT, IEEE Big Data, ASOC, FGCS, etc. At present, Prof. Gupta is working as Director, International Center for AI and Cyber Security Research and Innovations, and Full Professor with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering (CSIE), Asia University, Taiwan. His research interests include cyber security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, intrusion detection, blockchain technologies, cyber physical systems, social media and networking.

Dr. Ahmed A. Ewees

Ahmed A. Ewees received the Ph.D. degree from department of computer, Damietta University, Egypt. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in computer science with Damietta University, Egypt and University of Bisha, Saudi Arabia. He co-supervises master's and Ph.D. students and leads and supervises various graduation projects. He has published many scientific research papers in well-reputed international journals and conferences. He is part of the editorial board of many special issues such as MDPI, and Hindawi. His research interests include machine learning, artificial intelligence, text mining, natural language processing, image processing, and metaheuristic optimization techniques.



Abdeltawab Hendawi is an assistant professor in Computer Science and Data Science at the University of Rhode Island (URI). He is the Co-director of the AI-Lab at URI.  He received his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota (UMN), in 2015, then spent four years as a Post Doctoral Researcher with Prof. John Stankovic in Computer Science at the University of Virginia (UVA). His research interests are centered on big data and applied AI with a focus on smart cities and smart health related applications. His work has been recognized by a number of awards, including the Best Paper Award at ACM SIGSPATIAL MobiGIS 2012; Best Design/Plan Poster Award and Best Overall Poster Award at the U-Spatial Symposium 2013; Best Demo Paper Award at ACM SIGSPATIAL 2014; Data Science Research Fellowship at the University of Washington 2014; Best and Second Best Demo Paper Awards at IEEE MDM 2015; Hobby Postdoc Research Fellowship at the University of Virginia 2015; Blue Sky Ideas Award 2016 and Best Runner-up Vision Paper Award at ACM SIGSPATIAL 2016;  Best Poster Award at the UVA Research Symposium 2018; and Best Demo Paper Award Runner-up at ACM SIGSPATIAL 2018. His research is sponsored by grants from NSF, TIDC, and USDA.

Eng. Amr Ibrahim is a Cloud Solution Architect in Microsoft Egypt During his 10 years in Microsoft, Amr had several roles. In all his roles he has been helping customers utilize Microsoft clouds to achieve more and transform their businesses. He worked with public sector and large enterprises in Egypt and Africa across different solution areas. Amr is passionate about data analytics, data storytelling, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and the Power Platform.
